Mars

Introduction ;
It is the fourth planet from the Sun in the Solar System and the second smallest after Mercury. In ancient Roman religion, Mars was called the god of war because they worshiped Mars.
Why Mars is called Red planet?
Mars is also called the red planet because of its red color. This red color is due to the abundance of iron oxide on the surface of Mars. The reddish color of Mars distinguishes it from other celestial bodies visible to the naked eye.
Mars as Earth like

Rain on Mars;
While the shape of certain valley networks hinted that water may have flowed on Mars that recently, the salt deposits provide the first mineral evidence confirming the presence of liquid water. The discovery raises new questions about how long microbial life could have survived on Mars, if it ever formed at all.
Water on Mars;

Abundant water ice is also present beneath the permanent carbon dioxide ice cap at the Martian south pole. More than 5 million km3 of ice have been detected at or near the surface of Mars, enough to cover the whole planet to a depth of 35 meters (115 ft).Mars already has 21 TRILLION liters of water ice on its surface that current instruments can detect, so the overall effect on the planet would be basically nothing. On planetary scales billions are usually puny numbers….
Gravity on Mars;
Since Mars has less mass than Earth, the surface gravity on Mars is less than the surface gravity on Earth. The surface gravity on Mars is only about 38% of the surface gravity on Earth, so if you weigh 100 pounds on Earth, you would weigh only 38 pounds on Mars.
The Largest mountain ⛰ on Mars in whole solar system
Mars has a large volcanic mountain called Mount Olympus Mons, the largest mountain ever discovered on the planets of the solar system, and a large valley called the [Valley Mariners].
This canyon is the largest canyon ever discovered on the planets of the solar system. The northern hemisphere of Mars has a flat basin (geography) called the Borealis basin, which covers 40% of the surface of Mars and is believed to have been formed by the impact of a celestial body such as a meteorite.
Mars's Moon

There are two moons called Phobos and Deimos which are small and irregular in shape. It is also speculated that they may be small asteroids that have been captured by the gravity of Mars, due to which they are orbiting Mars. It includes research on signs of life on Mars in the past and the possibility of life on Mars in the present. Future astrobiological projects on Mars are planned, including the Mars 2020 and Exo Mars rover projects.
